If yes can you provide the regulation where it states that its a must and if not, then I guess its a valid APFT with or without RECORD on the 705.

If it is not annotated on the AR Form 705, it is a Diagnostic.

I must be missing something, I do not see he circumstances associated with the question. The validity is dertermined by the document itself. The unit should know what they administered. It also depends on who administered the test, there is a vetting process to ensure that the person administering the test is authorized by the unit. If a new unit they have every right to verify with the loosing unit. Anyway, thank you for your service.

If the losing command failed to update the flag and the service member passed a PT test, the APFT would suffice as a source document.
However, can the service member prove that the losing unit failed to do their job and remove the flag, and that the APFT wasn't forged by the service member? No platoon sergeant is going to accept that APFT when it is easier to administer a new APFT and be certain that the service member is capable of passing
