I’m 30 days out from Ranger school and would like to know what RAP week consists of since that is what knocks out the majority of the students, I know rangers stakes is apart of it, but what does that consist of too? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if they still have same tricks, it been a while.
1. Daily runs - they take off at a pace you don’t think they can maintain, them you notice the guy leading drops out and another RI takes over about every mile. Do not drop out! Puking is fine, fall outside formation, puke but matain pace, after puking, fall back in to formation.

2. I could do 120 push-ups in 2 min, 120 sit-ups in 2 min and two mile run in 10:15 when I arrived at ranger school. On test I did like 50/50/10:30. The testers watch very close, every rep of every exercise has to be done perfect. They do not tell you what you did wrong they just don’t count that rep.

3. Attitude is very important. You aspire to be a ranger. A long tradition of complete your mission or die trying. Be mentally ready and in right frame of mind. RI’s (ranger instructor) are or used to be all ranger battalion guys. As someone who has served in a ranger battalion let me explain: a ranger takes everything about being a ranger serious from the way you don your uniform, speak to others, military customs, etc. Have your shit together. Treat superiors with respect. If talking to superior, parade rest! The RI’s look at you and decide if they want you in their battalion, if they don’t you will not make it!

You will be a winter ranger, hooah, if you can’t see it on with white, sew it on with pink!!!

Yes before every station they go over the sequence and standards. But if you don’t have it down before then it won’t be enough to pass. SPC (Join to see)
