So I passed with a 34 asvab but no line scores my recuriter wants me to go do the physical to see if that can boost my scores what now?

OK, let's break this down a bit for you. I am going to assume that 34 is your AFQT score, which is your ranking in percentage to everyone taking the test. To be honest, 34 isn't wonderful, but it will still allow you to enlist in the Army or the Marines as long as you have a HS Diploma. Your line scores are used to get an idea of what your are qualified to do in the Service. As an example, the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 12B Combat Engineer requires a Combat Score (CO) of 90, which is the total of four separate functional areas on the ASVAB. You can look on like to find more information on what MOS requires what.
MEPS just gives you a physical and basic mental exam to see if you are physically capable of enlisting.
The recruiter probably wants to see if you get through MEPS before spending more time on you. OTOH, after that, you need to press him for your line scores and have him show you what your are qualified to do and if there are enlistment slots available in that MOS. If nothing really interests you, I would then suggest talking to him about retaking the ASVAB to see if you can up your scores. There are a number of free study programs online for the ASVAB and if you are really serious about a military career, the higher your score, the more choices you will be able to make.

Jonathan Lewis - If you took the ASVAB, you have line scores. Like I said above, the line scores wont come into play until the recruiter tries to find an MOS for you. If you don't pass the physical, their job is done unless it's something that can be waivered. If you pass, then they should tell you what you are qualified for off your original score. If there is a specific job you are interested in doing, I would Google it and find out what score you need to get in it. If it's something you really want and didn't quite make the cut, don't be afraid to ask to retake the test after having a chance to study for it.

Jonathan Lewis - I believe you misunderstood what she was telling you. You have line scores, they are just individual sections of the test. Now with an AFQT of 34, which I told you above was not very good, your composite scores might not be high enough to qualify you for any open enlistment spots without a waiver. If that's the case, she is wanting to make sure that you get through MEPS before starting the waiver process. From there it's a matter of how back they need recruits and if you are interested in any of the positions they will let you serve with a waiver.

Jonathan Lewis - I will let a recruiter that is here on Rally Point take over on this conversation because I am a Drill Sergeant and never dealt in that realm but I do know the basics after 17 years and 2 different branches. But I have never ever heard of taking an ASVAB and not having line scores its almost impossible. You have to have scores in certain categories to even be qualified for an MOS
