Is 42A AIT hard? How can I study for it?

42A school is a very hard demanding physical school. It will push you to the limits during your 25k road march in the blistering heat at Relaxing Jackson with a start time at 0330 in the morning.

Wait sorry wrong school lol. 42A school like everyone else has said just pay attention during class your AIT Platoon Sergeants will make sure you are squared away to start learning your mos. The real learning starts once you get to your unit besides the basic systems you learn at AIT you could end up in just about any unit on any base as a 42A.

But I thought you were going Airborne and Air assault and 11b... hmmm

Pay attention in class, take notes. Stay focused. Everything you need to be successful is in your training materials (handouts, regulations, PowerPoint and class participation). Go to the Army Publishing Directorate website, that's going to be your goto. Research, reading, speed, accuracy will be your strengths. Above all pay attention to details. One last note, forget about what you heard. The tools are there for you to be successful, use them. Update us when you complete your course!

42A is one of the easier AITs, its only 2 months long. Just make sure you pay attention to the classes and pass the tests. Our MOS is usually on the job training for most things. Youll have to do it to truly learn it.
