I'm curious to know if military personnel are more prone to seek out deals than the average American. Depending upon which study you review, roughly 1/2 of Americans are looking for savings. According to eMarketer, 47% of people redeemed digital coupons in 2011. And the National Restaurant Association (the other NRA) says 7 out of 10 Americans would eat out more often if they were offered a coupon/deal. So, are you a Dealseeker?

Sir, my main thing when going to movies, staying at hotels, buying airline tickets and sometimes shopping is just asking if they offer a military discount.  It works out more often than not and usually saves 5-10%.  Other than that I'm not a haggler or anything like that.

Yes I always find myself putting things back on the shelf at the store/mall thinking to myself do I really need this? Maybe I can get it someplace else cheaper, usually walmart.

I certainly consider myself a deal seeker. From using things like eBates when I order online, http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=fNKEdz0lQQQ%3D, to clipping coupons for the grocery store, to checking the best price online before I make a purchase.

I also usually ask if people offer a military discount or shop at stores that I know offer a discount like Lowes and Home Depot.
