For those of you that have submitted a volunteer recruiter packet, what was the general turn around time on being notified whether you were approved or not?

My God man, nothing is so bad you voluntarily have to drop a voluntary recruiter packet. What are you running away from? Do you have active warrants? Knock up the post commander’s teenage daughter? Trying to escape alimony payments? Damn it man USAREC is where careers go to die!

Recruiter packets can be tracked in recruit the recruiter website, at least it used to work like that. It usually takes between 3 to 4 months, it depends on your branch, if they want to release you or not. Recuiting is a though, and demanding duty assignment. I hated recruiting, but to this day I have some applicants telling me "thank you." And that's what is all about, changing lives and providing the strength to the force. Good luck in your future endeavors.

SGT Runge, have you heard anything back yet? I'm in a similar situation and curious of the turn around time.

I submitted it on 13 Dec and heard back on 18 JAN and got denied. They've got a lot of backup from all the packets they received plus HBL.

That sucks to hear you were denied, hopefully you can manage DA Selection if recruiter is something you really want. Thank you for the response of your timeline experience.

SSG (Join to see) May I ask why you were denied SGT? I submitted mine a bit ago and have not heard back?
