Especially if it's a first contract. If so, what are possible reasons for them to deny you on the request?

No you cannot. You owe whatever time you agreed to in your contract.

It is possible but I doubt it will happen. You would need to get a DD Form 368, Conditional Release, signed by the Army. This is not an easy task. The way the Army looks at it is you signed a contract and made a commitment to them for 8 years. Once you complete that obligation you can go into another Branch of Service.
You can try though. Good Luck!
