Can I swear in my friend at MEPS or does only the MEPS Commander have authority to do so?

My buddy is swearing in next week and asked if I could do it. Can any officer do it or only those specially appointed? If I can do it whom specifically at the MEPS office should I talk to? Does my buddy's recruiter request it?

Any commissioned officer can administer the oath to any enlisted member of the US Armed forces. The recruiter should be able to hook that up for you.

Too easy- all you need is to be in uniform and have your ID. Have your buddy let his MEPS Liason know and they will fill out the the paperwork when you get there.

Yes, you can. Just get your signature block information to his recruiter. They can get it to MEPS GC shop and can get it on the DD4.
