hello just wanted some more info about the running in WOCS I’m sure I will pass my PT test but I know I am no where near the best at running. I’m nervous I heard different stories about it?

We ran our tails off when I went a few years ago. I chose to be a road guard cause I hate running in formations. It sucked, like really bad, but I knew it would get me into even better shape so I stuck with it. I dropped 15 lbs and shaved about 2 mins off my run time from day 1 to the last APFT so it worked out.

Like CW2 Larson said, just focus on an 8 minute pace for 3-4 miles. The running is not bad whatsoever in WOCS. Just be sure you can pass an APFT to standard (correct push-ups and sit-ups included). They grade to the standard an APFT should be graded.

Focus on running around 3-4 miles at a moderate pace, maybe an eight minute mile pace. There were a few long runs, but nothing terrible. Being a road guard sucks but it gets you into the best shape.
