Whats 31B ait l ike for prior service? Housing or barracks? POV or not? MOS training cone first and foremost. Just wondering so ill know the precautionary steps to take.

31B falls under the OSUT category. The AIT portion for MPs is almost still like basic training 2.0. It’s not like AIT for most MOS’s. You won’t get the freedoms you would at other AIT’s. I can guarantee you you will not be authorized to have a POV and am pretty sure you will be forced to stay in the “bay” with the rest of your platoon. The actual training for the AIT portion is not bad at all as long as you pay attention. Half of it will be training for the field and the other half will be training for patrolling.

As a PFC you will most likely stay in the bay with the others. Being prior you may get treated alittle better by the NCO's and put in a leadership role, but you will have no privileges unless the rest of them get it.
You will not be able to POV.
I reclassed to a 12B, I was out longer than the 3 years though and they made me go through OSUT start to finish... best of luck!

I was thinking you were transferring from another service. I doubt if you can live off post in AIT. don't know about vehicle.
