My husband is getting out of the army and we join together so I've only known the life as a dual military so I was wondering if there any different and what can I expect now that I wouldn't be dual military

SPC (Join to see), you may notice for example:
change in BAH amounts
change in SGLI coverage and allotment amounts
co-pays for civilan dental provider
co-pays for prescriptions if done off base/post

For your husband:
will require a dependent ID card,
added as spouse for SGLI insurance coverage
will need to find a civilian dental provider off base/post

Financial obligations may change, dual income versus single income, job search/employment opportunities. Have him register for Veteran benefits (medical, education, disability compensation) as well benefits for Veterans from the state you claim residency in. There are opportunities in the Reserves and Guard. Its a lot to think about but I think here on Rally Point, you'll get plenty of sage advice.

The main thing is the rules on a Family Care Plan are different. Less Money, but that is OK, mainly the changes in Health Care and Family Care plans for deployment. At least when My wife ETS'd that is what we encountered.
