How does this affect where you are assigned to duty stations/deployments and so forth for a 15 series?

I don't think they authorize Airborne school for your MOS anymore. I am pretty certain that the 82nd took the Aviation Brigade off of jump status a few years ago. That just leaves the 160th.
If you are Ranger qualified... If your unit is even willing to send you... That will not change your assignments in any way. But it will set you up for future promotions.
There are other 15 series MOS who are authorized in Airborne positions, just not your MOS.

Ive seen a couple prior with both but as for going in as a 15y and wanting to do these schools well sorry but you will only be able to go airborne. No unit is going to send you to ranger school as a 15 Y .

As far as parachutist assignments, FARP teams in 82nd CAB and 160th jump but these are assignments for your MOS. Ranger school won’t be a big push for 15 series but I’ve seen some with the tab. It won’t affect you much other than promotion points and going above and beyond your peers.
