I have been through AR 600-8-10 multiple times and can’t find and answer for this anywhere. Can my transition leave run past my ETS? Example: My ETS is 13 March and I have 71 days of ETS leave. Can I schedule it to start ON 13 March so that my base pay and benefits continue for a few months after?

You cannot be on leave after your ETS date. You either have to go on leave early enough to take it all, or sell it back.

Negative, Ghost Rider. The Pattern is full. Either take Leave that starts on 2 January (or sooner 28 December, if you include November and December count) or sell it back. There is no going beyond the date of ETS.

Your ETS date is your last day on the payroll. That only changes if you sign an extension or reenlistment.
You need to take your leave or sell it back.
If you sell it, you only get base pay minus taxes, you are better off taking the leave.
The only benefit that extends beyond ETS is Tricare TAMP.
If you have not attended an SFL/TAP briefing, you need to get to one now.

Thank you, SGM. I just attended the TAP classes this past week. It was an eye-opener but still didn’t answer that question so thanks for your response.
