I understand that flight medics obviously work on the bird when down range, but I don't know what they do when they are stateside. Do they work in TMCs? What is their day to day work schedule consist of??

Its the best job in the Army in my opinion. The mission is something you must have a passion for. You will train to be ready to go downrange and possibly pull installation coverage. Having said that, about 94% of the time you are just doing regular army stuff, and 6% you are doing really awesome stuff.
