The two reasons I'm most familiar with is information they haven't seen yet showed up and it's enough to warrant a reset button hit. The other reason is the office that's handling it is overloaded and your package got tossed to another office.

Updating in case something similar happens again: I got a development letter stating that the VA failed with their duty to assist and that my appeal was be sent back to the lower claim lane (RAMP). I already had my C&P evaluation and it stated that it was more likly than not and establish a service connection. So i guess I am just waiting on my rating. 25 months and counting

I applied for RAMP program on August 13, 2018 before that I had been waiting on a decision Since November 2016. My claim just went into Preparation for Decision on January 9, 2019 with estimated completion ranging from April 1, 2019- July 26,2019. Don’t know how it takes this long to get a decision?

Still awaiting and the 125 days will be up on Friday? Still say gathering evidence but no request for more documentation is needed

I talked to them today and they stated that was waiting on a internal secondary signature and had a completion date of February 23,2019 which is Saturday. They are not open Saturdays so I will continue call them every day. Do not know what a secondary internal signature mean either.
