If you feel it's important to the board, write a letter. In the grand scheme of things, it's not going to make or break your selection the way military Ed, awards, civilian Ed and APFT will. If you look at the board AARs for your I doubt you'll find any reference concerning weapons Qual. But you'll see a lot about height/weight mismatch over years of NCOERs, ERB/NCOER position mismatch, APFT trends, and duty positions.

Roger that. It was exactly my thoughts but there are a lot of knowledgeable people here, like yourself. I appreciate, thanks.

SSG (Join to see) I was stationed at a place where I couldn't qualify for three years when I made the E7 list. I don't think it's a factor.

To alleviate some of your worries, when I was a SSG I spent 3 yrs as an SGL at an NCO Academy where we were not assigned weapons. I did not qualify on a weapon during my three years there and I along with many of my peers were picked up on the SFC board, many on the first look. You should redirect your focus to ensuring the rest of your board packet is clean - DA photo, ERB, transcripts, etc. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm tracking the rest of the board packet and it does help a lot for myself and future soldiers I can point in the right direction.
