Easier to re-enlist and go AGR or get out and try to go Regular Army?

Just recently took my AFQT to gain higher line scores and now have a 115 GT score as well as all line scores above 115. I’m less than a year away from my reserve ETS date and am wondering if it would be easier to re-enlist and try to go AGR or get out and use higher line scores to go to a recruiter and come back in Regular Army..... Can you guys share your experiences/ knowledge on this subject? Thank you.

It's a lot easier to enlist into the active army than AGR. I can't tell you how many people I've had ETS from AD with the promise of an AGR job from the reserves that didn't work out. Plus, you can get a conditional release and go now.

Agreed, just wondering what the likelihood of me going back in AD would be if I ETS. I don’t wanna get out and be stuck on the outside. I’ll contact a recruiter of course.

SGT (Join to see) they're accepting prior service right now because of growing the force. I'd say your chances are good.

Do you have an AGR position promised to you, not that easy to go AGR, fewer slots than active.

Go Active Duty. AGR might be a long shot depending on your MOS and vacancies. If you are medically, morally, and mentally qualified and meet age and dependent limits you should have no trouble going Active Army. Best of luck!
