The USNI has an interesting linked article

It's only eleven pages long (unless you want to read all the supporting documentation [which you have to search for]).
Unfortunately the article has the appearance of a lot of running around shouting "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"
Considering that BOTH Russia and China have historical truth on their side when they worry about "Western" military intervention in attempts to either extract resources without paying for them or effect 'regime change', the fact that the author appears to dismiss any concerns by Russia and/or China in that regard tends to make the analysis suspect.
