I was in enrolled in AFROTC and we needed to pass the AFOQT. You were only given two shots at the test and if you failed you couldn’t continue.

Unfortunately I was let go from the program before this point because I have a shellfish allergy.

Does Army ROTC have a test similar to this? If so what is it called, I’d like to start preparing for it.

No there is not. As an SMP Cadet, the only qualifications for Army ROTC is a 19 ACT score or 110 GT score from the ASVAB

There is no GT score requirement for ROTC and the ACT score is only for an incoming freshman who has no college GPA. Once a prospect has a one semester GPA established, the ACT score does not matter anymore.

Sir, as I stated it is an either GT score or ACT score for SMP qualification. GT score does not apply for a scholarship qualification

2LT (Join to see) - Since he is already enlisted, he only needs the PMS, unit commander, and state OSM to approve and sign the SMP agreement form.

During the process of contracting for me recently, the ACT or GT scores were a requirement for contracting purposes only. GPA was looked at for the SMP requirement.

If you are a college student, you can enroll in ROTC as long as it is before the 3rd year of the program. However, to contract with ROTC, you need to meet the academic standards, pass the APFT, get medically qualified, and make sure you do not have any legal issues. Each program has someone responsible for recruiting so you should talk to that person at the school you are interested in. He or she can tell you the specific requirements and what you need to do to be competitive for a scholarship or non-scholarship option.

There is the Army Physical Fitness Test. Currently required to do 2 minutes of push-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups, and a 2 mile run. Look up APFT score bracket on google to see what you need to pass. Each program is different on how they keep you as a member before you commission.

Sorry I misread your question. I thought you meant PT test not officer qualification test. ... Why were you trying to go Air Force after being in the national guard? You would require approval from your commander to leave the army to transfer to the Air Force. SGT (Join to see)
