I've seen some prior Army service members go Blue over the years. I've even met a former 75th Ranger Rgt officer wearing his CIB and Ranger tap on his Air Force combat uniform (whatever they call it). Can a CAB earner wear the CAB on an USAF uniform as well, or do they "trade it in" for the Combat Action Medal? In comparison, I've met a few Marines come to the Army side and trade in their Combat Medal for a CIB - which I know is a no-no.

Per AFI 36-2903 Feb 2020 publication paragraph 9.5 the CAB is authorized for wear on Air Force Uniforms

The AFI does not that only on a particular uniform but rather that if awarded and earned are now authorized. then it applies to All Air Force uniforms. The OCP's are pretty much the current uniform now.

TSgt (Join to see) - I have the same question. I've searched and searched but cannot find any exact or direct wording in the current AFI that was published this year. In my case I'll probably wear the CAB above my current AFSC badge. If anyone has different information please chime in.

do you know if it's also authorized on the Air Force dress blues? Do you know if army wings can be worn on the AF dress blues?
