Hello all, i was wondering abou the army school drop. I only have 12 months left in the army. The fall semester begins september 1st and my ets is december 19th, 2019. This means if i was given 90 days earlier ETS, it would be september 19th, 2019. I dont hit 3 years in service until august 30th, 2019, 1 day before the fall semsester. Does this mean i would not qualify for full gi bill benefits if i used terminal leave on top of the 90 days? I would still need more time, i was wondering if i could use leave to give me extra time to move home and settle before hand. Also, if you are given any free travel days to drive home? Thank you

You have to give 3 years from your BASD to you ETS to fully qualify for your GI Bil. You can use your terminal leave in conjunction with your ETS. You can find the details in AR 600-35. As I recall, you don't get travel days when you separate unless you are OCONUS. Don't forget that by ETSing 90 days early you lose 7.5 days of ETS leave as well.
I would suggest that unless you absolutely have to start the fall semester, you keep your current ETS and start the winter semester with plenty of time to settle in.
