I'm getting ready to go take my DA Photo for my upcoming promotion packet and I have a couple questions about some of the National Guard Awards

I have the Armed Forces reserve medal from my last mobilization and I have also been in the guard for 12 years since leaving Active Duty. Should the Numeral 2 be added to the ribbon to go along with the "M" device and the "Bronze hourglass"? I was told the 2 denoted campaigns that you served in but does it also cover getting an "M" device and then getting the Bronze Hourglass for 10 years?

I want to make sure I'm G2G.

Thanks in advance!

The M is for any mobilization. You get a numeral 2 if you mobilize a 2nd time, but it must be for a DIFFERENT campaign. If you mob to Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom and then, years later, mobilize to Djibouti under OEF, you don't get a "2." You get the bronze hourglass for 10 years of satisfactory service in a Reserve or Guard component (silver for 20, gold for 30).

CDR is absolutely right. I have 3 different year long Mobs and I do not have a "2" on mine because I did not rate it because it was under the same campaign even though different places.
Even though I rate a lot of awards that are not on my ERB (S-1 never properly updates it and I finally just gave up) when you do a DA photo make sure whatever is on your ERB you put on nothing more nothing less.
