Due to many unfortunate things happened together, I had just tried to start my ACAPing. And I'm 6 month & 19 days until my ETS with 50 days of terminal leave saved up. Due to the matter just came up with the JRTC i'm denied to ACAP until JRTC is complete.
I'm trying to go to college and i would like to have some advises on how long does it take for me to complete all acap and also take advantage of any courses that would help me with ACT/SAT and basic transationing to a full time student. Once i come back from JRTC i would be 3 month before terminal leave, is that enough time for it to happen? BTW my 1SG told me that when he acaped before it only took him less then a month to complete, and he took all the appointment possible back then.
Also. the satiation is that JRTC is coming up and my unit is extremely under strength, to compensate our BG commander had put out a memorandum that says if your ETS/PCS report date is later then Dec 10th you will go to JRTC no matter what. So we can have more people to be there, including the profile ones. Some of the people are going to come back, and have a week to clear out their house/gears(which they need for JRTC). Is this legal?

ACAP is dead. It was phased out years ago. When there was an ACAP you could knock it out in a week.
There is now SFL-TAP and it is THE LAW that you start no later than 1 year out.
You need to go to these and start now. No one can deny that you go until JRTC is complete. JRTC isn't several months long, you can plan around it. Unfortunately, your Brigade has mandated that you will go, but at least you know when you'll be available. If you need more time you can get with your Career Counselor and ask for a 90 day extension to finish SFL-TAP.

You will have enough time to ACAP and start your process to ETS. When you get back from JRTC, immediately turn your gear in to get cleaned from quartermaster, that will smooth out your CIF turn-in immensely.
The second part of your question, are you referring to people PCSing will only have a week to clear upon return from JRTC?

Your BDE CDR said anyone who reports after DEC 10, which means for people PCSing, they will have report dates of JAN 10 and later (the Army moved to have all report dates on the 10th of each month, though you can report early). So really there should be absolutely no one who only has 1 week to clear. I guess your JRTC dates are going to be mid september to mid october time frame?
Now, if people are trying to take an excessive amount of leave for PCS, I can see where they might put themselves in a tight place, but that's the only scenario I can think of.
