I am from VA originally and still have a VA drivers license. I am current in WA. I am moving to TN.
Is there anything wrong with keeping my residence as far as taxes in WA, keeping the VA drivers license so I can go hunt at home this fall AND claiming TN as a residence for hunting purposes there? I have heard a lot of different things since joining the Army about states and residence.

TN doesnt have state taxes, something you may want to consider. As far as hunting, just show your PCS orders and you will be able to buy an instate resident license.

As far as the VA driver's license goes, you have to notify the DMV if you move...so if you move to TN and don't own property in VA, for VA purposes, you're not a resident. Complete your move to TN first, then I'd say you need to give up both your WA and VA driving licenses in order to comply with law.
