Recently the talk of the Crazy North Korean government was front and center because of Dennis Rodman's antics.   The North Koreans are arming for war and you know the Pentagon knows this if we do.

So now what?    They are saber rattling and threatening both us and South Korea.    They are saying the South is being provocative.    They are parading their missiles ala the old Soviet Union.

What is your take and this increased rhetoric?

And now, they continue to "test fire" missiles into the Sea Of Japan.

I wanted to join the Navy like my dad, but he talked me into joining the Coast Guard instead. I retired when the Coast Guard instituted Centralized Assignments (or Pay to Participate) that would have required me to spend more money than I made to continue to serve.

I don't know how this post ended up on this thread, but it should have gone on the Why did you join the military thread.

To add to this topic I like to add this as well.

Interesting thing is with the down sizing taking place, one month after your posting this takes place.

I don't think the North Korean civilians are the problem to this.

That regime needs to be taken down fast and now.

I know that with that regime removed, both north and south Korea will be one: "Korea"

United as one.
