I have to make a decision on if I want to have a dual citizenship for Germany and the US or US only. Would a dual citizenship close doors in the military if I advance further in my career?

If you have a security clearance, you may have to renounce your dual citizenship. This happened to someone I know due to her position.

Go to JAG, it could hamper security clearances down the road, or assignments possibly.
