What’s the next step after commissioning ceremony (O3 Army Reserves Medical)?

Just got commissioned as O3 Army reserves Medical Corp back in June, but haven’t heard anything since then. Contract is signed, commissioning ceremony done, but no point of contact for next steps. Recruiter says he doesn’t know who my point of contact will be. Any suggestions on how to keep the process moving forward or advice on timeline expectations?

Congrats on your commission and thank you for your willingness to serve. I spent about 2 months in the same situation before I received a welcome packet from my unit of assignment (also direct commission in Medical Service Corps). I second what 2LT Brooks says above. The process can take some time to get your assignment orders. However, once you receive them the ball will start rolling. If you have any questions about AMEDD BOLC, or how I got started, please feel free to ask.

Congrats sir. It will go through a process until you are assigned a unit for orders. Once you have that unit information, your recruiter or someone from his office should help you get in touch with that unit. From there, you will need to attend the AMEDD Direct Commission Course (DCC) and then AMEDD Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC)

Same situation--but I've been waiting nearly a year... My recruiter was previously sending weekly updates of no news, and I haven't heard anything new in the past month or so. Going on a year though sounds unusual to me. Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated!
