After I return from my current deployment, I am considering a transfer (TPU-TPU) into a Training BN as a MP Instructor (BMPC, WLC, ALC). Since I have really only been in one unit up to this point in my military career, I am looking for a new experience and career progression.

What are some differences between a traditional TPU and the Training BN? How do battle assemblies work? The BN I would be assigned to - if I chose to transfer - is nine hours away. I have no problem with the travel. I have been told that if there are enough personnel in a certain geographical location, you can drill together closer to your HOR. How do ATs work?

Basically, I'm just needing some general information in the differences and what the advantages to being in this type of unit are. All input is greatly appreciated!

Your AT will consist of you going somewhere to be an instructor for 2-3 weeks. As far as drills go I have no idea what instructors would do. Train up on POI's and stuff like that.
