I would like to know if you deploy with original unit, and that deployment ends, can you go back with another unit within that year? Or do you have to wait a certain amount of time before requesting transfer to another unit to deploy again.

That is called cross decking. If your unit is being relieved by another from your BN or Reg, you may not even need to come back home. You could just get orders to join that company. Now there may have been a few changes over the years, but it use to be simple to cross deck within your own BN or Reg.

Its actually kinda funny, I was part of 2nd BN 11th Marines, I went with kilo Btry, on my MEU. It was the 11th. Who were you with Sgt Ramirez?

I was with 3rd bn 11th marines, kilo btry, and stationed in 29 palms. When I pumped, we were assigned to 2nd bn 7th marines for the BLT on the 31st meu. Did that twice both same units

Yes, it is called Cross Decking. Did it on a Med Float.
