When I re-enlist into the Army (after 4 years in USMC and 4 years in IRR), will I need to go to Army Basic?

I'm enlisting into the Army soon and I was in the Marines for four years, but I've been out for 3 years 11 months now but I Just finished my IRR in may this year. Will I need to go back to Army Basic?

No, you will not need to go to Army BCT. I have been out of the marine corps and finished IRR in 2016. I am also starting the process with the Army as well. I will not be attending BCT and will skip that step. You will need to go to an Advanced Individual Training, or (mos school) if you are switching jobs.

Cpl Garrett Camacho Update after MEPS career counselor. I need to attend BCT again because I separated over 3 years. The separation start after IRR (2010)
Im also not eligible for any bonuses because I’m prior service and no matching MOS equivalent. I needed to reclassify.
I’ll get bumped down from E5 to E4 because I didn’t attend Sgt Course while in the Marines. But due to TIS/TIG I can pick up E5 in a few months.
Shipping out to Ft. Sill 1/14.

SSG James Ramirez Just came back from MEP. Signed the dotted line once again, shipping out to BCT on 1/14. Looking forward to bootcamp refresher. I’m ready to get smoked for being prior service jarhead.

SSG James Ramirez shipping out 1/14. Bumped down from E5 to E4 because I only completed Corporals Course in USMC. Not Sgt Course. I retain TIS/TIG, recruiter said I should be eligible after AIT.

They won't accept you in two basic. I was out for several years and when I came back in I asked if I could go to basic lol. At different times they have run a transition course for other services, but it was mostly to familiarize you with army customs and courtesies.
