Heads Up For Currently Promotable Army Sergeants

I got the following notice in my email today. Make sure you work on SSD-2 over block leave if you don't have it done already! I know a lot of people have been putting it off since ATRRS allots you two years in order to complete the course. No waiting if you want to stay promotable, though, or if you even want to be eligible for the staff sergeant promotion board now.

a. MILPER MESSAGE 14-358, STRUCTURED SELF DEVELOPMENT LEVEL 2 (SSD-2) AND SEMI-CENTRALIZED PROMOTIONS, ISSUED: [18 DEC 14]. Effective promotion board month Jan 15, completion of SSD 2 is required before a SGT attains eligibility for recommendation for promotion to SSG (integration onto the SSG recommended list). Promotable SGTs (already integrated onto the SSG promotion recommended list) must complete SSD 2 or ALC CC NLT 8 Jan 15 in order to retain their promotion list status.
