Murder of two NYC Police Officers as they sat in their car. Was it - as reported - conducted as retaliation for the Garner incident?

How does this make you feel as an American? How does the outburst of "Hatred and Racial Tension" make you feel toward planned separation from the Military and entrance into a career in Law Enforcement?
I posted a reply RIP to a news post. What happened next truly bothered me. So much so, that I performed a screen shot. A nincompoop (has to be) posted a picture of a police officer being shot and then stated Rot in Pieces. This is tragic. Hundreds of posts on Facebook saying things along the lines of "Bet they can't breathe now" or "F#ck the Police".

We like the police recruit from the same pool. Sadly we also get that 10% of bottom feeders into our ranks. I still believe in America it's the media that keeps feeding the haters.

SSgt Juan Alvarez Yep, military and law enforcement; both come from our society. And even though they can check all the boxes and answer all the questions right, that does not mean that every once in awhile, there will not be a P.O.S. in the mix.

Wow, CMSgt James Nolan, just wow. Your screen shot demonstrates to me that the anger on the side of folks who believe they have been mistreated by the police is extremely powerful.
I agree that we should be respectful towards police. To me, anything other than being respectful is foolish and asking for trouble. I guess not everybody thinks like me.

I have been pulled over for a dubious reason in the Midwest, once unlawfully searched in the East coast (Justice prevailed on that one). In 2005, I was a passenger when my friend was pulled over and was asked "how did you afford this car (Hummer H2)?" In all instances, I admit I got angry but honestly, it's never a good mojo to wish someone to die. What good is it to prove a stereotype. It hurts like hell facing discrimination but I have the fear of God who created us all equal.

I once rode home on leave with a soldier who is black. We both hailed from the same county. He told me we had to leave several hours earlier than I would have left. When I asked why we were leaving so early, he said he factored in three traffic stops for "driving whilst black". As a single NCO living in the barracks, he could afford a nice ride, and that made him a target.
We got pulled over once on the way there, and once on the way home. Dude was doing five miles over the speed limit, which was still slower than the flow of traffic.

Is this recent? I had a friend that wrote for Fortune Magazine and she was doing a story on a new Mazerati. The dealership folks that delivered the vehicle were either black or hispanic. The driver told me he hated to drive the cars because the were targets for the police and were pulled over alot.
