Can I get paid if my ADOS orders start on the 31st of the month?

If you are on ADOS orders and the orders start on the 31st of the month, do you get paid for the 31st of the month? What recourse is there? I'm asking because according to the Pay Center, "Service Member's tour started on 31 May. There is no pay for the 31st when that is the tour start date as pay is based off a 30 day month." Thank you for your input.

Chances are you'll see your first payment on the 15th. Check your LESs daily. You may see a random LES in between the 1st and the 15th and that'll be the one day of pay for the 31st.

Pay calculations are based off a 30 day month but that doesn't mean the Army gets a free day. Push the issue, you should be paid for that day.
