What’s the difference between each of these reports, Salute, Lace, Salt, Spot report, Sit rep?

LACE is a modified ACE report - L for liquids (fuel for vehicles & water for Soldiers).

Do you not find this transmission rude. a Specialist was looking for guidance and instead of helping this young soldier you told him he was not educated. NCO's are supposed to help their soldiers learn not tell them the obvious fact that he did not know the information. That is why he asked for help.

Rude, by all means let us not be "rude" when peoples LIVES could be at stake! While folks trying to KILL you is not the time to send the wrong report. As a SPC, that Sm has an entire chain of NCO's, things are ready available (training aids, Ranger Handbook, etc) to help him learn which is which and how to use it. It appears to me that the Sm is too lazy to look locally for the available training, and instead wants a public forum to do it instead. Both of you be glad you weren't in any of my units. But then all my folks to trained to operate at least 1 level higher than their slotted position.

SGM, now here I go. With all due respect. I’m pretty sure I am late, but clearly the SPC acknowledges that he is lacking information wise in this field. That is why he is asking the question. Now, him asking in this Rally point forum is just one avenue of approach as far as him educating himself on a subject he knows he’s lacking in. You literally could have said nothing SGM. This is one of the reasons why people don’t want to ask questions in the Army, because when you do, people look down on you. But when you don’t, then they say “You should’ve asked”...smh. I bet if you looked those in the Ranger handbook or the FM's you could spend hours with it. SM is a SPC, that means eligible for promotion maybe, maybe a TL and instead of getting off his 4th POC to find info, he wants us to put it on a platter for him? and You SFC want to serve it to him? Questions are great, but his question shows a complete lack of basic info all the way from AIT forward. That is damn dangerous, and it's not our job to prepare him for promotion- Yes answer questions that he can't find answers for , but not lead him by the hand.
