AGR RECOMENDED STATUS

Greetings,

I am a SPC 35F, I submitted an AGR packet and several weeks later now I have received the "Recommended by panel" status. Does anyone have any idea how long this status might stay in limbo. I know its MOS slot and grade depending, but I would like to get a general idea how long people have stayed in the recommended status.

Congrats on getting picked up on AGR. 13Fs are definitely in demand in the Army Reserve.

I came on AGR status in Nov 2010 & they will likely cut your orders to come on board shortly, once they decide on your duty station/location. It probably shouldn't take long, probably before the end of the Fiscal Year, NLT Sep 30, 2018. (If there is still money available for AGR PCS Moves- if not your report date could be after Oct 1, 2018).

Did you talk to the NCO Accessions Office about reporting dates yet? That is the group at HRC that handles Enlisted AGR first-assignments. If you are open on availability- contact them & ask to be put on orders at the earliest opportunity.

Good luck in your assignment!

I stayed recommended for the entire year a couple years back and never was picked for assignment. I ended up going full on active duty so it is a moot point. Simply being recommended does not equal being given an assignment.

Rgr SSG, I am currently active duty and I have heard this from a few people. The recommended status could be around a while. I ETS in April 2019 so I'm hoping I get offered a position before then. Maybe after the new FY starts.

For mine my status stayed under “Recomended” until I got nominated for the job I put my packet in for and the orders were created. I guess it depends on your case manager but it shouldn’t be no more than 1-2 if you’ve been nominated for the position.
