Over the weekend I was at my drill and I heard and seen stuff that I never seen or hard before. One, the fact that I may or may not get paid for drill and there may or may not be a drill next month. Two, contractors are being hired to do clean up at the barracks that we stayed in for two nights so our privates didn't have to do a damn thing. What is the deal with that ? It makes no sense to waste money here and not pay soldiers for their work there. Also apparently AR has money put away to pay soldiers for completing SSD 1 ( I hear over $20 mil) and again me may not get paid?   Who is in charge up there ?

The government has existing contract they must fulfill or face countless law suits.  Having contracted civilians clean the barracks means more time to train.  And yes, the government does do lots of irresponsible spending or just handing out money.

Something is seriously wrong if they can't pay drilling reservists.

The contractors are but atoms amongst billions more.  The government gave out billions to companies who just went on vacations and gave retiring CEO millions to do so on.  Where is the accountability?
