I have friend who is a veteran and disabled. He has a motorized scooter but needs the carrier for it for the back of his car. Does anyone know where I can find an organization that will help us find someone that will do it for free or cheap? We are near Cincinnati Ohio.

Is the disability service connected? If so, I would contact the nearest VAMC and see about getting financial assistance for the required equipment. If not, they may be able to point you in the right direction; the local VFW may have some contacts for things like this. If the VFW can afford it, they may be able to pull from the emergency relief funds or petty cash to give some assistance. Many other VSOs will probably be able to assist in some manner as well.

It wasn’t service related, but work related. Disability I don’t think will pay. Thank you so much, I’ll look into those resources.

Soldier On is a great organization, but I think they're limited to New York and Western PA.
Maybe the DAV or Wounded Warrior Project can connect you with someone in your area who can help.

The Soldier On program that I know of is out of Leeds/Northampton MA. SPC Joseph Wojcik is there another? Or do you think it’s the same one?
