I'm trying to find information on working abroad while serving in the Navy Reserves. I am currently in the Reserves but I have been looking at jobs and internships in Spain. I know there is a Naval base in Rota, Spain and am curious if I could potentially do my weekend drills there?

I think this lists just about all of them pretty much everywhere in Europe, I'd gather...you ought to find a whole slew of links on European installations in here, I'd expect....

There's got to be a way of drilling in Spain similar to the Army Reserves 7th ARCOM in Germany. IMA or Individual Mobilization Augmentee ( I think that's what it stood for) is another option in order to fulfill your annual reserve commitment. Check with you COC and personnel specialist. Recruiters might be able to see about open positions near Spain as well

I've heard of IA (Individual Augmentee) but from what I've read it is more of a status for reservists or active duty to do more boots on the ground type of deployments which I actually am interested in but first I'd like to get more training in the IT field with the Navy before I do anything else within the Navy.
