I have always seen the following after soldiers receive unfit memo: no more pt because you will not be taking an apft anymore and no more H&W. I received my unfit letter last week but am still participating in pt and from what i can tell, its due to the bn CSM cracking down on pt for all those in the rear. Is there any regs that states i dont have to do pt, apft, and h&w? I have a lot to prepare for and this extra time would be very valuable for me and my family.

On a side not, I've never failed apft (279 on last test) or h&w. I am not worried about those event but was wondering why the change in SOP to now unfit soldiers doing pt and if there was a reg explaining this. Ive looked where I could in the ARs and FMs but cannot find specific. Just wondering if anyone had the reg on hand for me to look over. Thanks

If your notice does not specify, and you are not on profile- then normal regs will continue- PT, H&W- they probably would skip an AFPT. Besides what can you do at 630-830- in the morning.

SGM I am on a very restrictive profile that should be limiting me to gym pt but am refused that for reasons that I think are unethical. I am currently in between selling my house (needs fixing), qtc appointments in others states, bh appointments, and acaping. With all of that as well as an unfit letter, I assumed that like the rest of the soldiers before me, I would be clear from participating in pt activities. Of course I am not trying to get out of accountability formation but the activity of pt at this point does not seem as if it should be a huge focus for me. I have a month left and am unfit medically as Ive stated before. Ive been an nco long enough to know how ncoers/oers effect decision making and hope thats not the case with me.

First, do NOT violate the profile! It should specify any and all restrictions. I had a similar thing happen where I was on a T3 profile, awaiting the MEB decision and was ordered by my 1SG to do specific PT and duties that violated my profile, including a H&W while I was in a knee to toe cast. Take care and be your own advocate!
