I have an opportunity to transfer to the 325 Psychological Operations Company (ABN). Does anyone have any experience with Reserve Psyop?

I just ETSed from 338th PsyOp Company. The opportunities are there if you are self motivated. Whether you are impressed with the company when you get there or not, stick it out. If you think changes should be made in the company, be the change you want to see. If you maintain your personal discipline, you can go to Just about any school that is remotely relevant to PsyOp including airborne school, DLI, SERE, and others that don’t come to mind right now.

SGT (Join to see), I served in the 15th Psychological Operations Battalion from NOV81 to JUN86. This was before various elements of the psychological operations organization became airborne which was a disappointment to an old SF trooper like me! Any information that I might offer would likely be out of date so as to not be useful. I do believe the training to become qualified now is quite rigorous. I also think that LTC Eric Udouj can be a most valuable resource for you.
However, the 325th is subordinate to the 15th and my friends at the 15th frequently ask me to join them at Fort Campbell to observe airborne training operations. These two photos were taken on Corregidor DZ at Fort Campbell on 21JAN17, with members of both organizations jumping.

A lot of experience here with Tactical PSYOP on the RC side of the house. Are you looking at transferring to become a 37F or are you looking at one of the other MOSs in the CO?

They have a slot available for a Commo NCO. I’m looking forward to jumping and being in a unit with a faster Op tempo

LTC Eric Udouj
You will likely find that PSYOP units are a great place to be. Airborne units have a certain amount of effort trying to get their jumps in and often as part of the training. It takes up alot of time in the USAR. With the unit being a 2d POG company - you will find that there is always a demand for your unit's support. AT funds tend to be either for a JRTC or NTC or CMTC (Hohenfels) rotation or OCONUS in EUCOM or AFRICOM or CENTCOM... or schools.. or all the above.
