Currently, I am a 68W looking to reclass to a 17C. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me put together a marketable 17C Reclass packet.

I can only give you some tips, since I was not able to submit a packet due to clearance, but my career counselor showed me a couple of packets to give an idea of the competition. It is a hard MOS to get selected for, here is what I suggest.

- Get your CompTIA Sec+ if you don't have it already
- If you don't have an associates, work on it, specially if it is tech based
- Make sure your clearance is good, you will need a TS
- Everyone has a great PT score (typical of Army to make it a big priority) so focus on that as well
- Get a list of the people that you need letters of recommendation so you can start talking to them

I assume you have this information already but its just in case, or for people that haven't looked at it

https://uscyberschool.army.mil/ (needs CAC) so you can download the packet and requirement checklist

It's pretty basic, but it is all pretty straightforward, just make sure you meet al the requirements and don't be discouraged by what anybody tells you, 68W is understrength, you can still drop your packet at any time, in case someone tells you otherwise, it's in the milper.

Best of luck and hopefully it helped a little

I'm a little late to this thread (been TDY doing cyber stuff). I'm always willing to look at packets for people.
