An interesting article on the Atlantic:
http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/01/why-is-pennsylvania-so-haunted-the-us-according-to-autocomplete/283356/

How much validity does google auto-complete have in accurately representing your state's defining traits?

How much information are massive data companies like Google developing about us as a people? Is this cultural self-awareness helpful? Harmful does your answer change for the aggregate of society vs. the individual? Does big data reflect truer versions of ourselves than we present ourselves? Some claim your search history knows you better than a best friend ever could. Do you agree?

"Why is North Carolina so cheap?" --- well it all depends on what part you're in. I would like to think that South Carolina is cheaper. I know with gas that is the case.

SFC (Join to see) I seem to remember that from some road trips, lower gas taxes, right?

SFC (Join to see) Do the labels fit your experience? What do you think of the broader question of Big Data's validity (and ethics?)

Some of these are really funny.

NY is "expensive". Is that just the major city?
Illinois is corrupt. Truth.
Missouri is conservative? Really?
Louisiana is racist? Thanks Mary Landrieu!

CPT Zachary Brooks 23 million people live in the NY CSA....more than anywhere else in the USA, therefore there will be disproportionate representation of any data concentrated around the city.... and concentration means expense.

Also interesting: Hawaii and Alaska, who would have thought being so isolated from a transportation infrastructure would drive up prices?

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
