How many credit hours to you need to submit for a Reserve, 70B direct commission?

Hello,
I try to find this topic but couldn't find it anywhere, right now i just want to do my research and gather as much information as i can regarding direct commission path as a 70B Reserve, from what i know 70B require a bachelor degree but from another source i look at from Direct Commission Wiki it stated that " The general requirements for a direct commission in the Army Reserve are: 60 semester hours of college credit", i don't know if it true or not, any one here have any information on the requirement for the reserve side?
and another question is when should i send my amedd package in? My senior year?

I know this area to well.. 70B is an extremely hard AOC to direct commission into it unless the following:
1) Prior Service
2) Your bachelors leads to something that will work into a different 70 series AOC
3) Somehow find an open slot in a unit. That is willing to fill this with a 70B
and even then you are going to go through an uphill battle as 70B is the feeder AOC mainly for
ROTC
Service Academies
and OCS
They will fill those AOC in active/reserves first with the above before looking at a Direct commissioning as a source. So you got an uphill battle. Not impossible but hard if you want to stick to the process. I would work like others have said with an AMEDD recruiter.
Its all about the recruiter to be honest.
my main question to you , what are your aspirations and why a 70B?

The AMEDD has different requirements compared to the basic branches. For a direct commission into the AMEDD, the requirement is a bachelor's degree.

PFC Tuan Trang - That is a good major to have going into the AMEDD. You should go ahead and link with an AMEDD (must be AMEDD) recruiter as your approach the end of your senior year so that you can begin building the packet--essentially, you'll complete a clearance investigation, compiling the last 10 years of your work, residential, educational, etc., life--complete a commissioning physical, curriculum vitae, and so on. Thus, the sooner the better. Your packet will go before USAREC for selection.
