Yes, I do. All the lower ranks should board before the Officers. That's the Infantry way. First in combat, last in the chow line.

I will say that part of being a grunt was ingrained in my mind by the time I commissioned. During my Engineer career, I once refused to attend a special dinner because they had extended our mission and the troops had at least another 24 hours on the job (did I mention in the middle of the Desert). I believe I was the only officer that refused, but you don't go to cantonment to a party while your men are still in the middle of an operation.

Now putting the tall people at the front of the line would be great , that's done in in Platoon or squad formations by height which would put them in the front of a line anyway from a formation if You send in each squad one at a time. Do that in all line and at 6'2" I'm sure I'll be close to the front of the line that way.

That depends on if it’s a military charter flight or a commercial flight. Commercial flight, 1st come 1st served.
