Does the rank of Corporal transfer to your next unit?

Im getting a lateral promotion to CPL on friday, but PCSing in a month. Will the CPL transfer over with me? Or am i just going to lose it in a month?

As your orders were cut prior to the lateral they may chose to revert you based on NCO positions availability. In my 30+ we never reverted, unless of course they did not portray the attributes of an NCO. You should be good, perform at the same level as your losing unit and you will prove your value. Thank you CSM! So on on my orders I am actually slotted at a 20 level. Because i was promotable at the time of my orders being cut, could this be my saving grace?

It's really up to your new unit. If they move you back to SPC don't take it hard, it really is not a big deal. If they need you to be a CPL then they will make sure you stay one. Either way stay motivated to get your promotion to SGT. Good luck.

It should transfer if it’s done the proper way just Make sure you have the signed 4187 in case you new unit gives you any issue
