Great question. I am only offering what I "THINK" is going on. Liberal socialist States like California Connecticut, and others that have Sanctuary City Status have Liberal Socialist Congressmen and Senators who want to continue to be re elected. These Traitors play upon the naïve and gullible young and old "snowflakes" in America. So, we have Socialists from Liberal Colleges who create cute posters showing sniveling kiddies that make people go AWW! For "some" reason, they don't show the strain on US taxpayers for Socialist programs, medical care, VIOLENT CRIME ect. Not to mention OVERPOPULATION urban decay inability to even employ or care for the American elderly and VETERANS! All you have to think about is this ONE thing. How well are YOUR Children and Grand Children going to do in a future that they will have to exist and compete with a culture that should NOT be here at all. Think about it.

An explanation many will deny however, it makes perfect sense and the saddest thing, its true. As long as the Department of Justice is lead by a mediocre Attorney General, supported by self-righteous liberal politicians, nothing will change. Oh, sure we’ll get the same old dog and pony show telling us how vigilant they’re working to resolve the matter, but never accomplishing a damn thing. Unfortunately, like you said Dave, its our Children, Grandchildren and future generations that will suffer.

Immigration law is being enforced. Everyday there are people taken into custody, being held on ICE detainers, being removed from the US, being detained at staging centers and scheduled for removal. Unfortunately, there are a lot of obstacles for ICE such as sanctuary cities, sympathetic weak judges, media attention that seems to make the poor illegal person the victim, lack of border security, etc. People also need to be receptive to knowing their tax dollars may be used for the incarceration of many of these people. I support tax dollars being used to incarcerate certain persons for extended periods of time, whereas others want to see people deported immediately and cost as little as possible, but in reality that doesn't work. If an illegal (or even a legal immigrant) rapes someone and get sentenced to 20 years, sometimes they do less than a year and are turned over to ICE for removal, and we feel good because we got the person out of the US, and the specific state "saves" 19 years of feeding and housing this guy. Now the guy thinks he can rape someone and get a few months in jail, be deported, and he is back in 6 months. There is no deterrent to crime when judges give light sentences or commute a large portion of the sentence. Some people literally get sentenced to 18 months for illegal re-entry after being deported and they come back and are deported 5, 6, or 7 times over the next 18 months. If the guy was in jail for that 18 months, he would not have been caught over and over illegally in the US. This over taxes the Border Patrol, ICE, the courts, etc. We definitely do not have effective immigration enforcement.

That is one helluva great question. It's something that I've been working on a long time and couldn't hope to summarize my response adequately. Thus far I've found three principle reasons that I can state in broad terms. They will, of course, inspire argument. (1) The government can't impose laws on a sovereign people who don't feel that those laws are representative of their wishes. (2) There is a segment of the population who cling to the attitude that their opinions are better than ours and thus refuse to submit to the will of the majority. (3) A large portion of the population is ignorant of the fundamental concepts of self-governance and are thus susceptible to the will of ideologues who seem sure of the rightness of their opinions. These problems have been exacerbated in recent times by the fact that a certain group of ideologues have been eroding our educational institutions to "dumb down" the populace while, at the same time, alien populations, used to authoritarian governance, have swelled in numbers without being assimilated into the traditional American culture, thus further diluting the ability of the populace to govern themselves wisely.
