I was in the army for 22 months i have an re-3 code, was honorable discharged, and I have been out for 3 years. I miss the service and want to go back. The Air Force classifies me as previous service and not prior service, but i want to go back into Army aviation. If not then ill join the Air Force. Unfortunately my mos, 15j, is no longer in service I don't mind going back to basic or retraining to another mos, but can I?

I had a RE-3 code back in 2012 spent 3 years talking to everyone I needed too get back in. It’s not impossible you have to talk to a recruiter and see what they say. My MOS was 89D back in 2012 and in 2015 i got the MOS is now 15R. Hope you make it

You can join but it will take some time for a waiver and I just got back in with an Recode 3 in February. What state you in?
Also you got a honorable so it should be easy unless you got medical reasons!

I'm in Florida, no medical problems, i was ch. 13 out, and i can easily pass the p.t. test now. i got curious about rejoining and what i saw just got my hopes up and the desire to go back in has been re sparked, and I would do just about anything to.

@pfc Scott yes and I’m from Mississippi so if you can’t get a recruiter there I know plenty here that will be willing to help you!

@pfc what you need to do it prove you can pass a PT test. Have you contacted a recruiter

PFC Scott Conley I agree with MSG Dan Walther. See a recruiter to find out your options. Keep us posted on the outcome. Good luck.
