I am in my senior year of nursing and was wondering how the process of joining the army after graduation worked. Is it possible to eventually become an officer? If so, how can I go about becoming one? Or what are the different options?

Amanda, contact your local recruiter. Ask him to refer you to the areas nurse recruiter. The Army has special recruiters just for you. It’s a different process than regular recruitment.

Amanda never the Big Green Machine anything when you can get them to pay for it!! There is one thing I will never deny the Army does have the best medical care possible. When I was in the Second Surgical Hospital at An Khe Vietnam I had the most brilliant physician I ever met. He would prescribe a large bottle of Heineken beer at lunch and dinner. He told me that it would give us extra calories and make us get out of bed and exercise!! I never knew were Dr Gerstien went to he was brilliant!
