The annual health screening we all fill out. it asks you questions about your alcohol habits and if your on any medication/ recieved counseling if a member is honest on this form they are punished or put before a medical board. But we all sit through these briefings about watching for your wingman.

Fear of med board or just want to get through and out process from demob to go home. Also, some are embarassed.

But the Military puts on this dog and pony show for about suicide prevention but if anybody uses the hot lines/tell Military docs they try to med board them. I think this fact needs to be brought to the public attention especially with the continuing raise of suicides in all branches

You said it, both of you. The suicide rates within our military today are up and there's no denying it. Some say its due to the newer generations of soldiers being mentally ill prior to service and others say it's due to the lack of attention on the 'real war' at home with our soldiers mental well-being. Its tough, nonetheless. Tough subject.
