Is the gaining unit on your DA 5434 accurate, even before getting projections?

I am a 25s transfer in training with airborne but a permanent no jump profile. I was told not to expect projections/orders until 30-60 days out from PCS. I have about 90 days. I was also told not to expect to be sent to an airborne unit due to my profile. Is the gaining unit that appears on my DA 5434 really where I'm going despite not having any projections? It says '18th Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg.'

Not necessarily. Until you have been contacted by your sponsor at the unit level just be patient. Also understand that even after you have been assigned a sponsor, your unit can still change.

I just came from drum as well and they are part of the XVIII AB Corps. We certainly never jumped

There are plenty of units at Bragg that don’t jump. Well, maybe not plenty but till you get your orders anything can happen.

Corps has a ton of units, not all which are airborne or have limited airborne slots in them.
